Hi everyone i have been working alittle on a guide for players that want a dota bible

It aint far from done yet, but i though i would post it so you could tell me if i should add something

Hi everyone this tutorial will teach you the basics of Defense of the Acients.The different heroes’ strengths and weaknesses and how to kill or kill with them.

Let’s begin with the items:

“First item” the first item you buy can change the whole game, in many cases people buy boots and pots. And some buy necklace/bracers, but remember to get an item that matches your build and hero.
Let’s say you got Astropos – Bane element This hero got the ability “Brain Sap” it steal life from another player/creep, this is a devastating ability at the start of the game cause you can regain hp without using pots. And it also damages your foe.
What item should you get for him? You should get something to boost your intellect or/and your Mana regeneration.
And you should not buy hp pots, you should get Mana pots to increase the time you can be out and pushing before you have to go back and get hp/Mana.

Boots is a must, you don’t have to buy them at once but they should be bought in the start of the game or the first time you have to back to fountain.

Tier 1 Shop:

Ring of Basilius: this item is great as the “First item” for int heroes with healing abilities specially.

Nathrezim Buckler: this item shouldn’t be bought as a solo item; it should only be bought to get Mekansm. Alone this item isn’t very affective; if you want armour go for assault cuirass or buy Chainmail /Plate mail or “helm of iron will”

Perseverance: This item is a component of many recipes. But also alone it’s a great item; it boosts your Mana regeneration and hp regeneration by 4. And to top it off it gives a little amount of + damage (+7 damage)

Headdress of Rejuvenation: This item is excellent as a first item. It gives you and your comrades 2+ hp regeneration. And its one of the 2 Components you need to make Mekansm

Oblivion staff: This Item is not very effective alone but it’s a part of 2 powerful intellect items (Refresher Orb and Guinsoo’s Scythe of Vyse) I recommend you try to get the other parts first since this aren’t very affective. And both Perseverance and Eul’s Scepter of Divinity are more effective.

Hand of Midas: This item isn’t very effective if it is attack speed you are looking for, and the spell, you get with it aren’t that fabulous either. If you are looking for attack speed go for hyperstone /power treads /butterfly.

Power Treads: This item is great, it increases your attack speed and Movement speed, the great about this item is that is good no matter how long in the game you are. This item should be bought as quickly as possible; if you go on a 2v2 match you will be able to buy it right from the start.
But in a normal 5v5 you should first go for boots, and then get Gloves of Haste. Cause you don’t need +15 Attack Speed. But you do need Boots of speed if the enemy is about to get you.

Boots of Travel: This item is great for some heroes that have a lack of speed, the great about this item is that you also can teleport your self over too a non Hero unit (Friendly)
This item is perfect also if you are hunting someone. You will be exactly a little faster than him

Null Talisman: This item is great as first item or second item if you didn’t get a very good start, this item boost your intellect and also boosts your other stats by 3+

Wraith Band: This item is the same as null talisman, just with agility as main stat.

Bracer: This item is the same as null talisman and wraith band, just with strength as main stat.

That Was Tier 1 shop! This shop is providing you some cheap yet good items.

Tier 2 Shop:

Cranium Basher: This weapon is “Timeless” no matter how far you are in the game this weapon is good, it boost your damage by 30 and gives 3 strength, but that isn’t the great about it, it got a chance on hit to stun a target for 1.1 seconds, if you are an incredible fast hero this item is a must, and it stacks!

Blade Mail: This is an excellent item for strength heroes since it returns incoming melee damage, this is a “anti-agility hero item” Agility heroes mostly go melee combat and got very little base hp but yet great damage on hit.

Maelstrom: This Item is great alone and also is a component of a even better item “Mjollnir” (you will find this item in the “new recipes” section.
This item got a chance on hit to cast a 150 damage chain lighting, this item is great for agility hero that got tons of speed but not yet the ability to kill multiple creeps fast. It’s also a very good item Player Vs Player combat.

Diffusal Blade: yet another agility item, this item is great for heroes with high speed or/and heroes that got the ability to make clones. This item can be upgraded to the great item “Manta style” (Recipe for manta is in Tier 3 Shop)

Helm of Dominator: This item is fairly as good as “Mask of madness” alone, but it’s a part of the recipe “Satanic” (For more about Satanic go to tier 4 shop info)

Mask of Madness: This item is a very devastating item for heroes with bash on hit chance, if your base agility is good enough. This item increase your Attack speed by 70% and gives you 17% life steal witch means that you will be able to stun most heroes to death, or just do so much damage that you will defeat your enemy before he gets to react. But this item also got its weakness, it gives you 20% extra damage taken, witch mean you will be more vulnerable than normal, and if you are an agility hero without bash on hit chance you need to be careful.

Eul’s sceptre of Divinity: This item is a component of the item Guinsoo’s scythe of Vyse but it’s also a great item alone, it gives you 100% Mana regeneration and boost your intelligence. One of the components (Void stone) for this recipe is a great “First item” for heroes with a healing ability.

Soul Booster: As a spell caster this item is one of the most needed, this item boost your Hp and Mana and gives a little + Mana Regeneration and Hp Regeneration, it’s a component of Aghanim’s scepter and Soul booster. (Move to Tier 4 Shop info for information about Aghanim’s scepter, and new recipe shop for information about Soul booster”

Mekansm: This item is a very useful item for heroes with low hp, and the faster you get it the more it will affect your game. If you want this item it should be the recipe you got for, being able to heal at the start of the game (as I said on the top) is very useful.

Tier 3 Shop

Sange & Yasha: This Weapon is a great item combined with Sange (Sange & Yasha) When these are separated they both give some great buffs, such as chance on hit to slow targets attack speed, movement speed and extra damage.

Actually, it's better to get tangos, flasks, circlets, and/or RoR. Buying nothing at the beginning could hurt you in intermediate/high level games; pubs should not be the standard for building strategies.

im playing dota esl 2on2 and in some other dota leagues ... i like the way i play and i barely have problems with it
