That way they are able to save a lot of money because they do not have to provide all the downloads. Let's assume 2 million WoW players download an 100 mb patch. Then they have a total traffic of 200 000 GB. Each GB traffic costs 10 cent. So, they have to pay 20 000 in total for traffic costs. If they use torrent they might be able to only have to pay 10 000. That is quite a lot actually  .

i belive there is a way to make blizzes torrent not work, so other people dont download fom you, but i couldnt get it to work. |
