Guide to creating a Dungon with GM powers
-By Skype

Hello all, This guide will teach you how to set up a custom dungon with Gm powers.
While the best dungons are made if you can script it, and create your own mobs for it, Many of us, dont have that power =P. And often, your local admin will be too busy/lazy to create your custom mobs on your request, and script it. Let alone set it up. Also, for the best Dungon possible with the GM's limited powers, it whould be advised to be there and pull the strings as the group of players advance within. The guide has been set up assuming that you whould.

First,
find yourself a good spot, for me, i will choose the Dwarf fort at Dun'Garrok, in the hinterlands. Find a good spot for a dungon. Keep in mind it's size. (the area i chose is perfect for 5 man runs) If you want it 10 man, or 25 man, select your dungon size adequetly.

Second, Empty the area of all mobs. every last one of them, and show no mercy to anyone.
Keep a macro of .npc delete handy, because chances are, when you are filling up your dungon, you will find a couple that survived in hiding.

Once the area is cleaned up, you have a free dungon to work with. Find NPCs that can stand a chance against normal geared players. (if you are a fun server, that players get free tir 6, you have no hope in finding good NPCs that can stand a hit, that means your going to have to mod them all)

You should have three bacic lines: outside units, Inner units, and elites.
The outside units, should be easier to take care of, For me, i will use the wildhammer defender, and use them. They are blury, can take a few hits, and can pose a small challange to the players. The inner units, are stonger then the outside ones, These are the main build of your dungon. The elites, are the odd NPCs that are stronger then most, and usually are the bodyguards of a wondering boss.

Adding twists and special units will complement your dungon design. For example, i have one Gryphon rider flying around outside, However, his attacks will kill instantly, and he will have quite a bit of health. So players will have to pull groups of the defenders and avoid the gryphon as they advance and sneak inside.

third: Once you have established the outdoor defence, feel free to add the same units indoors to complement your forces. Since my dungn is a 5 man group, i have 3-4 mobs clustered, and serveral patroling around. Depending on how many players your dungon will have, set up your NPCs accordingly. Make sure to include a warm welcome within your dungon's wall for your players. My insoor line of defence, requires two rouges to shadowstep, and each sap one NPC, before a tank pulls the others. Or a mage to sheep one right after the rouge saps, and the tank pulls.

Begin building the inside of your dungon, add groups of NPCs, of diffrent types. I used scouts, defenders, and warriors. Add a few bosses inside your dungon. For my indoor mini boss, i had a gryphon rider with 2 gryphon walking alongside him useing the formation links. Read my guide about formation links to understand more about how to link them.

Once your base is well built, add your final boss. Now, for the best result, you should be the end boss. Give yourself a good amount of health, and several spells to add to the event. An alternative way, is to use the .pet command. Find a good looking NPC, find his ID with the ".npc info" and then type ".pet createpet " Rename him with ".pet rename " ANd teach him spells that you want your boss to have. Teach yourself dissmiss pet, and cal pet, and dissmiss him for now. Once your players have reached the end, summon him out, and control his spells. Think about aggro, and send him to attack over DPSers, or Over healers. If they use abilities to reduce aggro, React as an NPC whould. This part might get a bit tricky, but you can work it out =P

Before sending in your players go around,
give your NPCs waypoints, and emotes. since i set my dungon up in a dwarf base, with dwarf enemies, i might as wel have barfights, and a beer vendor xD.

Once your dungon is more lifelike, fix up you NPCs. Make sure you have a macro to set your pet's (or your own) health to scale as well as damage, The .mod commands will work fine for this. If your on a funserver, if will be nessisary to mod your normal units to scale with the high gear all the players will have. Make macros for it.
Make sure their faction is one hostile to players.

Another thing, is to make much less NPCs, but make their faction freindly to once side, that way while your 5 man group is fighting npcs, they have to deal with another 5 man group inside, trying to stop them. This works best if you have a fellow GM to the back of the dungon, that will .reviveplr from within the dungon that die and summon them back to where he is, at the heart of the dungon. Also, consider adding NPCs to help the attacking 5 man group, use the formation links, and possess the formation master, and follow the attacking players into the dungon.

(( so, if the horde are attacking the fort, ill make 5 horde npcs, make them follow a leader, and possess the leader and follow the horde player's group leader. The allience will defend the fort, and their GM will rez, and summon them back to the center of the dungon should they die. ))

Once your NPCs are set, your bosses ready, your pet at full strenght, and everything is a go, Prepare macros to grant items the the victorius players. After that, your dungon is ready, and you can call the beta testers to try out your dungon. Follow them around invisible, and add ".npc say " to add to the plot.
after each boss they defeat, either spawn a small vendor that sells the items he whould have dropped, or add them to each player directly though the .additem command. Once they reach you main boss, either .invisible yourself again so that they can see you, or summon out your pet. They will see the title <(your name)'s pet> but, they can ignore that =P

Good luck!

Cracking the formation link commands
By Skype.

First of all, formation links are a tricky bit to learn. So you had better have some degree of knowledge in logic, as you will be working with numbers, and consepts.
Im not a master at formation links, but i have gotten along well enough with them.
Hopefully at the end of this guide you will be able to as well. first part will be talk, explaining every smaller details about how to use frmation links in general, Scroll down to a red outlined text saying the how to crack the system itself if you wish.

Formation links are a command that you can use to link together several units to follow one unit at an exact distence and angle. It can save you the work of having to plot out tons of waypoints, instead working with only a "master" waypoint. Your keyboard and your head will thank me for it, trust me. However, formation links are way harder then you might think. Its not a .kill, or any type of no-brainer command. Even when you cracked the system, and figured everything out, it will still take some time to plot out the coordinates. If your a new GM, dont bother reading this, it will only make your head spin/explode.

First of all, The basics. spawn your "Master" NPC. He will be the center point of your formation, Everything will revolve around his belly button. Type in ".formationlink1" All without a single space. You should get a saying with "master set to " If you get that, your 1/4th done! And if you thought this was hard, quit now while your ahead.
For me, im going to use a murloc. (because murlocs are ftw.)

The second part is the acctuall command power. This is what your after.
Spawn a few more NPCs (as many as you want following your Master NPC) Keep in mind, if this is your first time, 2-4 should be more then enough. If you have a lot, you will either Bug something/Screw up somthing/set somthing on fire/Mess up. Horribly. Or you just might get frustrated when there are too many things to deal with, Log out and play Outside. (Yes, it CAN get that bad xD)

Select one and think before you type. The command will go something like this ".formationlink2 4 4" DO NOT type .formationlink1 EVER. else you will asign Master status to someone you dont want to, have to delete every NPC, and spawn them all again fresh. Typeing master twice on one NPC can cause bugs/weird stuff. Allways type the '2' At the end, and never '1'!!!

The numbers "4 4" that are after the '2' are an example. But these two are the master minds behind the command itself. The first represents the distence between your center point. The second represent the angle that it will be at, In WoW you use something called radi(Something O.o) Ignore that. Its a fancy word for a measurements unit. It works on Pie (not the Cake < Pie thing, the math one.)

Blizzard seems to use something more complex then that. If you want a full definition on what this term is (the radians), either vistit Wikipedia, or your local math teacher. If he dosent know this, your either in Elementary, junior high (I think they know it also though. =P) or in a Baaaaad school.

Before you can get any farther, here is the real part of the guide: Cracking the formation link system. The rest was a warm up, and the basics

Formation links dont work on a coordinate grid, unlike what most people think. It works with a polar grid, A type of grid that uses circles rather then a grid. This system works on 2 overlapping circles, witch i took to calling a 2CS. (two Circle System)

This diagram i drew represent the first of the Circle. This plugs into the first number, your distence. You see, Each value, makes a circle that expands from the center point. so a circle with a value of 1 will be WAY smaller then a circle with a value of 5. To make matters harder, the circle is devided into 2 parts, Positive, and negative.

Typeing only positive numbers in the first number spot (( .formationlink2 4 -4) ((the positive 4 is the distence number) Will have all your units following on the right side.
As i said above, im a homeless GM now, So im writing all this from memory, The positive and the negatives may need to be inversed. No matter what angle (the second number) the distance between the center point, and your tropper will allways be the same. That means if you said he whould be on the 7th circle, He will be that distance from your NPC and nothing closer or farther.

The second part of the 2CS Is the position around the circle. I drew a few circles, But notice, that no matter how many circles, the spot of the number will be aligned to the center of the circle, not the circles themselves. That means no matter how far away from the center point or how many distence circles are there, the number will always be at the same spot on the distance circle.

Here is a diagram of that for you to see,

As you can see the diagram is also split into 4 parts, unlike the first part of the 2CS that was split into 2. Each part are either negative, or positive, and are opposite to each other.
So, there are two +4s and two -4s. So if you add a +4, how would you know weather it will end up on the north or south side of your main unit? The distance is the key.

You see, the distance is also negative and positive, Only split into 2 parts. Therfore, adding -4 4, will be a unique combo, the distence charge (that means weather its negative or positive) Will determine weather the +4 You added at the end will be on the top or south.

So the distance (first number) will actually have a dual purpose. Sets the distance, and weather the second number refers to behind the Master NPC, or in front of him.

So doing (4 4) (-4 -4) (-4 4) and (4 -4) Will set all your units to make a box around Your master. Doing numbers 1-6 (that means a total of 24 units around your Master) Will form a circle.

Please note that odd things happen after 7. I think that the circle loops resets at an opposite direction, But currently, i have not yet experimented with this, Because of my server's death =P)

Now that you have cracked the system, You can plot out where your units will be. Select your target, and type ".formationlink2 <2CS part 1> <2CS part 2>" If all goes right, your selected unit will automatically jump into position. If he dose not, you may have done something wrong, check this list:

1) Did i type Formationlink1 or Formationlink2 (Hope you did not type Formationlink1)
2) Did i misspell or add a space?
3) It could be the unit that is bugged, or the server (common. Formation links are awesome when they work, but often have a lag time before the units jump into formation)

Good luck! I shall either edit this guide out to latter to include more up to date info, or post an advance guide explaining the odd system that occurs after 7.

Running a smooth event
-By Skype

Events are simply that: events. As a player, you will love events! it offers something new and different, as a GM you will dread events as they rarely go according to plan. These tips will teach you how to set up events, and run them smoothly.

First of all, players are antsy to say the least. They
do not want to sit and wait for others to arrive, they will not stay seated in seats until a duel is over, or something has to happen, they will want to constantly move and attack something.

It's understandable, and here is one way to beat it: You dont. Do not,
EVER try to control where players can move or not. They will first get annoyed, then start to find the event boring, and hearth out. Always have every player do something, An objective. if they dont, they will generally become a thorn at your side. Some of the wise guys do sit and wait, but keep in mind, most will not. So format your event to minimize the time they have to wait

Second, Make sure you build you event first. set everything up before you even summon one guy. Set up your .go's if you planned them to be there, set up the Player zones, and NPC should they be there =P. Make sure that when you will start to summon, everything is set up. Also, be sure to have macros set up, such as the useful ".debug root" and the ".debug unroot" Other macros might be needed, it depends on your event =P

Third, make sure to eliminate hackers as quickly and as quietly as possible. Several times an event may be foiled because one hacker made too much noise, and in response the GM that banned him threatened everyone else that could hack with the possibility of a ban. The excited player, (Eating popcorn as they watch their favorite in-game drama) Are too rambunctious about the banning and finding out what the hacker messed up, that the goal of the event might get forgotten, and the event cancelled since not enough people are actually doing the event.

If you eliminate hackers without a sound other then " was kicked by You. Reason: (1 day ban for hacking)" You will be sure that there might be a few questions, but most people will remain focused.

Fourth, If you are doing a race, make sure to have a lootable object at the end. This is because usually there is a bit of lag, and every player sees himself ahead of everyone else. So with this one shot lootable object, whoever loots it first wins.

Lastly, make sure you have a friend to help with summons, If you are on a populated server, you will be swamped with "SUMMON PLEASE PLESE PLZ!" And to make things worse, a lot of people dont know that they are not the only ones saying that, so they will whisper you again and again. Here are some more tips to dealing with this

-Split the player group into smaller chunks so that you can summon them all. get your friend to summon only alliance, while you summon horde.
- Ask for class only summons. For example, Say "All right im summoning priests now! whisper me for a summon ONLY IF YOU ARE A PREIST, any other class you will be kicked in the balls, teabagged, and killed. then kicked from the server on top of that."
-Type in ".summon" and highlight the whole thing, Ctrl+c it, then when someone whispers you, type ctrl+v and shift click their name. The name will appear as it is right after the .summon allowing you to summon people with the most complex names as fast as one second.

Here are some ideas for quick events

-Gyrochoppter race. this one is an easy, and fun one, not only that, you yourself can join in. First create macros that you will use on each player, ".mod displayID 8011" And ".mod scale 0.3" and ".mod speed 30" Create a second macro, ".mod speed 7" for the end of the race.
Go to stranglethorn vale add a lootable game object at the Booty bay entrance. Mod it's scale to 2 so that everyone sees it, then head to entrance to stranglethorn from duskwood. Once there, summon your players. Use macro 1, and line them up. Explain to them that the first person to loot the giant crate/crystal/chest wins the race and gets a reward. Start a countdown and as soon as you reach the last number start running. Everyone will go quickly, and the race is overall fun. Often players will use their class skills to slow down others. this is a good addition to the race, so long as you make sure to tell them that killing another player is forbidden, But anything else goes.

-Greatest junk finder contest
A generic event that you can do while doing ticket. Announce This "Heya all, we are going to have a special treasure hunt! Find the funniest In-game object that you can get. There are plenty of objects out there that make fun of Real world events, or are just there to make you smile. Find me the best one, and i shall give you a prize!" Count down 1 hour on your clock, and keep working on your tickets/watever you were doing. At the end of 1 hour announce this: "all right, times up! If you collected something good, wisper me for a summon, we shall have a vote-off!" Summon any who ask for a summon. Once everyone is there, Find out what they got. then say this: "all right here is a list of the items found: Every one of you, vote for one object that is not your own! winner will be the one with the most votes!" This is a rather fun event acctualy, i have had a lot of things that made me laugh, from a steamy romance novel, to an empty wallet, to a pet rock.

-Ultimate duel tournament
Everyone will have +3000 health, and +3000 mana. .cheat fly is active. Let the fun times begin.

-Group vs group
This one takes a little bit to set up, First spawn 3 NPC bosses, mod their health to that of a 3 man battle. Ask player to group themselves into groups of 3, and the first team that can down their NPC win. Add more NPCs if needed.

With all this you are now good to go for you events! good luck!

Skype has a spectacular aura aboutSkype has a spectacular aura aboutSkype has a spectacular aura about
Epic Guilds, and managing them
-By Skype

By this point, you are ready to be one of the better GMs, and be part of the Elites.
So naturally, you will forge your own epic guild, run by a great GM, you.
Here are a few things you should know about this:

1) GM run Guilds will always be the highlight of the server, being naturally better then player run ones.
Just because a GM is the leader of a guild, will make your guild in equal standing with the best raiding guild.

2) this play of power might corrupt the balance of power on the server, and lead to extinction good raiding guilds. Be warned.

3) this Guild option allows players to have one more goal, thereby increasing the end game value. People have one more reason to get to the top now. And one more reason to stick around your server longer.

Keep in mind however, the server's eye will watch carefully at who you let in.
If you let one fool in, it will lower the standing of your guild by a slight amount. Let too many fools in and everyone will think "Why join Skype's Army? anyone can join that crappy guild just by saying "Hi!"."
And believe it or not, but most fools get into your guild without you allowing them to. If players can invite other, you guild will fill up with morons faster then you can say "Oops?" Never allow the option of player invitation. they have to get past you first to get in the guild, not by their friend.

This are two main things to having player get in your guild by seeing you first, for a challange of some sort

1) People inside the guild wont like this
2) people Outside the guild will find it uber that they have to prove themselves in front of you to get in.

Allways have some difficult task to get inside.
If your a good PvPer, get yourself the best gear, and challenge people in a duel, if they beat you, they get in, if not, they can try again, after everyone has had a turn. I used to do this myself, and there are a few flaws to it:
1) It will consume a lot of time, especially the pally duels where they will heal over and over.
2) You will have either too big a guild, or too small one. I ended up with 20 player who each were Spartans. Big guild eh? If you have too big a guild, that means you suck at PvP =P

Another thing i recommend, is making a large obstacle course where you can see everything from a place (to avoid flyhckers) and whoever gets to the top first, along with the second, and third will get an invite. then the obstacle course closes.
here are the flaws to that:

1) Flyhackers. They will fly ramp by ramp when they think you are not looking. Even if one part of the course is not big, it is still an advantage and if they keep doing it, it will stack up. So there will be cheaters in your guild.
2) It will require as much time as the duels, due to the fact that you have to set this up =P

The last thing i tried as well, was inviting all the players that were at endgame, and well known. This worked nice, as a large rumor spread about how to join, that invitations were sent to people who were exceptionally leet, and people did great things to get noticed, from helping each other, to single-handedly defeating an army of players in an event.
Some flaws still exist, as in everything

1) Very small player base in your guild. Again you will be stuck with the 20 Spartans. =P
2) Causes rivalry, and there may be some low blows and people trying to expose each other.

Any other challenges you issue are up to you! Be creative, and dont issue something only the really leet can complete. Because once again, you will end up with 20 or so players. granted, they will be LEET, but 20 awesome players vs 150 noobs will result in death. Spartans were strong, but they did lose the battle =D

Raiding guild promise Powerful endgame content, your guild promises ledgendary events, guild base, and fun. The perfect harmony between the raiding guilds, and your own guild, is a tier based ascension. Players have to acquire awesome gear, and to do that they join a normal guild. then advance to the Uber raiding guilds of the server, then finally they can advance into your guild.

Keep in mind, a guild requires upkeep, and time. So only create a guild when you find you have extra time between tickets. While in your guild, Be active! thats is why people joined it. Run special events, and challenge other GM guild to a war, or player guilds! For my guild, we had several events, from Giant snowball fights, to end game bosses spawned right in winterspring for practice, and 5 on 5 matches. We had also challenged a rival guild led by another GM, for a few competions, from who can down a boss faster, to an all out war!

Always make sure that you are on the "That guild is so cool!" list and not the "That guild sucks!" list, because then people will lose confidence in you. Making a guild is a gamble. If you succeed in a well made guild, people will think of you a better GM, and have something more to work for, and aid your server. If you fail, and let too many fools into your guild, you will shame yourself, and people will think of you less as a good GM, and more like a bad one, and if you do not balance your guild with player run raiding guilds, you will break out havoc on your server.

If your going to make a guild, Make sure you claim a spot on the hall of fame, or else dont take the gamble!
Good luck!

How to create a good movie for WoW, as a GM
By Skype

While I cant tell you what to do, as I whould in a guide, I can point you in the right direction. With these tips, and suggestions, all you need to add is a bit of creativity, and your result should be better then you might think =)

First of all, to have the best possible machinima, you need GM powers, Even better if you have admin powers, but as all my guides, its about how to work as a GM (Except for my guide to creating good guides, that was for everyone =P). With GM you will have many commands to work with, and the ever powerful .NPC commands. As a player you whould have needed other players to film, but as a GM, you can command NPCs, and even mod their looks, your own looks, and their emotes, waypoint, ect.

First of all:
Make sure you pick a song, or music to show your movie in. Many movies are ruined from the start because none of the music that the person adds fits what he shot. To sum up this as easy as possible, you are shooting your film parts to form a story, to add to the music. Think about the music as if it's the star of your show. Never shoot your film, then try to find a music piece that fits. Music is too complex, and you will get a rough film as a result.

Second:
Never leave the screen on the same thing. There has to be movement. If its only three guys dancing, or two guys standing on a mount for 20 seconds, Its dull, and your viewers will vanish faster then a rouge pitted against three warriors. Keep your pace up to speed with the song. If your trying to have a conversation between two people, shift the camera around while they take turns to talk. Notice on the TV shows, the camera during dialog never stays at one point for a prolonged amount of time, unless the characters are moveing. Allway, always have some difference in your shots, weather its your camera that moves, or your characters that move.

Third:
Keep in mind the storyline. Weather it's a real movie, or a video clip, you need a story line. Without that your just shooting random people, at random places. Even an add on the TV has some small plotline. Its not just a guy typing on a keyboard, it fades out and says to buy that type of keyboard. There is always something else. This is the part that requires a bit of thinking. Creativity in order to make a movie is a must, if you don't have any, the "Next thread" button is at the end of this guide to the right. If your making a movie clip, make your story fit the song a bit.

Fourth:
Take your time. You wont finnish this in one day, and yes, belive me, once you get started, its hard to stop until your done. Plot out your time, and shoot bit by bit. Finnishing your project in one or 2 days, will result in a loss of quality. Make sure you don't waver your camera, clean slow moves, and make them smooth. Rough and poorly filmed movies, even with great storylines and great music, will fail.

Firth:
Use .waypoints, and work with NPCs as actors. They don't screw up, they don't whine that they need to log out, they can fight each other with a simple .mod faction, and they can be any shape, skin, or do any emotes you want them to. They are the perfect actors, except when it comes to motion. While with the .waypoints you will have NPCs that move, they will appear robotic. Very very robotic. If you don't have any other humans, Use the waypoints, If you have a friend, get him online. You can change his looks to your desired result with the .mod displayID command. Don't use .morph, or .mount. They wont work as you whould want them to xD.

Sixth:
getting a good program to edit will be key to success, use bluescreen or greenscreen tactics and the Wow model viewer to complement actions that you cant work on in-game. I recommend sony vegas, and advise you to stay away from the Windows Movie Maker. Its rubbish, will not show your footage in good quality, and will crash ocationaly when you haven't saved, sometime making me lose 20 minut's worth of time. Also, blue screens on the WMM will be reduced in quality, by a LOT. To understand by how much, lets do a simple addition. Fraps/gamecam will not capture the full detail of your shots, about ½ reduced, out of say 600 pixles (example) you whould only get 300 or so. Windows movie maker will reduce it even more, by another ½ of that 1/2. Blue screen will reduce it by ½ again and if you attempt a duble blue screen to fit three things, your resolution will be so bad you cant see curves anymore. Just cubes.

Seventh: Notice the difference between this movie and the next. The first is the Beyond WoW trailer, the second is Is a movie clip from a recent contest entrée

Good luck!

Why is it that the Beyond WoW trailer sucks completely and utterly, and the other does not? Well there are a few reasons.

First: The Beyond WoW, had no storyline. Only footage of people standing around. The finalist had its entire storyline tailored to the music, and on top of that its an engageing story.

Second: The Finalist used many camera changes. The camera was never at the same place for more then 4 seconds while the music played. Or there was constant action and the camera's focus was constantly changing. Beyond WoW had the camera pointed at the same image many many times. There was no action during these shots. No one talking, nothing. It dident even show off the features.

Third: the Movie's Song matched the storyline, and the filmed parts. Beyond wow most likely made the film first, then added music. See why it just dosent work?
Keep these simple tricks and tips in mind while you create your movies. I hope that I will see more machinima artists out there on D3scene, this place is kind of empty without them =)

If you're the person that made the beyond WoW trailer, I hope I dident offend you but I needed a public example to contrast from what a film should look like, and what to avoid. Yours was the only one that poped into my head at that time. Sorry, but you did make your work public, therefore you probably were expecting criticism to arrive. Well here it is, hope your next film will be better.

If you are planning on makeing a real movie, thats not a video clip, cnsider getting a sound changing device to allow you to have more voices in your real movie, Music is still important, so find a good sound as background that fits the storyline plot, and match your clips to the music,

Skype has a spectacular aura aboutSkype has a spectacular aura aboutSkype has a spectacular aura about
How to make a good resume, and beat 50% of the completion.
-By Skype

If your reading this, your either a curious admin, an angry one, or a player that wants to be a GM
If your not, i dont see why your reading this. gtfo my post xD
Please note, this wont ensure that you get the job, but I can guarantee one thing, You will beat 50% or more of all the other applications.

First we need to see it from the admin and judge point of view before anything else.

-They look for experience.
-They Look for knowledge of commands.
-they look for maturity
-They look for dedication to the server
-They look for understanding of player behavior,
-They look for Skills at catching hackers, buggers, exploiters, and scammers.
-They look for Professionalism.

So now we know what most look for, lets see how to show them that you have all these skills.

1)
They will look for experience, And always, always, will pick a vet GM over a new one.
And yes, it will help you a lot to have your own server. Take it from me as we all started from scratch at some point.

2)
There are but few exceptions. If your a vet, good news! If you are a New GM, this is bad news. There are a few things that you can do to improve your odds if your competion is a new generation of Gms, if your new and running against a vet, good luck man, you WILL need it. First, you can link this guide, explaining that you read it all, ( the compendium that is =) ) and Say that in theory, you know all there is about GMing. Witch is true, if you do read the entire compendium it will teach you everything you need to fight on your own in-game. Another alternative is to create a mini server for yourself, and say that you practiced GMing and commands there, so your not a total Noob. They will look for knowledge in commands, and having read the full and detailed command list, you should be a pro at that. It will be great if they Quiz you, as you can show both how you would deal with situations, what command you would use, and Your reasoning behind it. If they dont give a quiz, its bad for you, as they will not know who you really are. What most people do there is Simply say "I know all the commands!" and leave it at that.
If you are serious about being a GM, Do more then that! If you were a vet, State a few situations where you used more complex Commands (preferably Ticket related =P) Or if your not a Vet GM, add more detail to the "I know all my commands!" generic response, Say for example that "I know all my commands, I know what all the .mod commands do, i can use the .debug and .account commands quickly to catch hackers, and i know almost all the normal used commands, such as .learn, .additem, and the other commands to deal with tickets!"
Something like that whould be a tiny bit better then the "I know all my commands!" line. A tiny bit. (Maybe a bit bigger then that =P)

3)
They look for maturity above all else. When they say "We will select a Gm regardless of age, but select them on skill" it brings up a point. Any age can be mature, and any age can be not mature. but you generally wont see many 7 year olds running around with the tag, then 17 year olds. Because people who are 17 are generally more mature then 7 year olds. There are exceptions like anything human related, But for the most part, there is as many mature 7 year old as immature 23 year olds. And there are immature 23 year old adults. So now that you know this, Here is a few ways to show that you are mature, because no server in it's right mind would hire an immature Gm that is bent on his belly button. (Figure of speech. har har?)

Correct spelling, and better vocabulary as well as good logic can easily show your maturity. While any old fool can spell well, and use a thesaurus, it looks better to have them in. Don't ask me why, it just looks better, and i have read a few applications and i can tell you this: I was much more inclined to the application that i could understand, and that spelled "Player" right. You get my point right? So while spelling and Vocabulary wont prove anything other then your smart, and took time in your application, it will just look better, and people assume it's maturity. As for logic, that's just something your going to have to work on yourself, there is nothing i can teach you about it. Its gain by time, not by reading a guide to logic. I would love to meet the man that would create a guide to logic.

There are a few tricks here, and they are underhand, so pay attention to this. Sometimes the judge will flatly refuse your application with a wimpy reason, or no reason at all. Or maybe a good reason. Here is the trick, your application still has not been denied, its a trick to see your response. I used this quite a bit, and the people that started a tantrum i officially denied, the people that took it like a man, gave thanks for me spending the time to read the application, and left with no hard feelings, I elevated to a "look over and think about this one" level and informed them after.
Generally If you can add a response to the end, do so. It might really be the end of your application, or this trick, but either way, take it like a man. If it is the trick, consider yourself lucky, they are testing you now on your words, that means they are considering your application!

4)
A Vet player that has stuck to the server from it's start or from a really long time, will have a way easier chance at getting GM. He may be considered the "Special" New GMs that take priority over a vet GM. And if your neither a vet player on the server, or a vet GM of another server, They will hurt your odds a lot. The reason is simple,
If you get a vet Gm, that just joined the server, can you trust him not to use his knowledge to crack and break the server? A dedicated player might not do as well as a vet, but there is no chance that he would try to harm the server he passed the last 2 months at. Dedication is just a matter of showing that you care about a server. the best way to prove that is to make friends with a lot of people, and have them know your name. If your a popular player, people will be happy that you get GM, and the server will have a better time. if your a new Gm, not a vet player, and there is a vet player out there that everyone likes, on the odd chance you get GM, no one will respect you because they thought that vet player should have gotten the post.
Dedication boils down to being friendly with the community, and sticking through easy and hard times. If there is another vet player, think about weather you want to dive for the chance at being a GM now or wait a bit, because on the odd chance that you beat him, a lot of people might be angry at that, and you will have to work your way to prove them wrong.

5)
The human ameba as i call it. Point 5 is a simple one, understanding how players behave. And the truth is goanna be hard. They act like ants. To be more precise, a colony of ants on a food trail avoiding predators. they follow each other's trail, in a single file line to one destination. Individuality is blurred in the human ameba except for the "hands" of the ameba: special few who act individually and lead. So why is this mumbo jumbo important? If you know how players behave in a raid, PvP, and other part of the game while together, you can successfully command events, catch hackers faster by using players as your tools, and control the mass to aid you deal with itself. Is a circle really, You help the mass with tickets, they help you by being your eyes in the server for hackers, and other negative impacts that exist in your server.

A break down on the human ameba:
Basically, if one person walks forward to an area that is not interesting but just another spot, and 2 others follow him, other people think "hey there going somewhere, i better follow for now" and they follow on, and then the bulk of the ameba thinks "hey these 7 guys are going somewhere, i better follow them, they seem to know what they are doing" and thus the ameba moves on. In PvP, Its even more heightened.

Why is it that sometimes when there is a tug of war in AV, player that outnumber the enemy are getting pushed back? Simple, its this groundwork only flipped:
"Hey that group of enemies is comming toward me, i should get behind one of my friends that way he gets killed but i stay alive" and the 'friend' thinks the same. Then the group notices the shift, and not wanting to be on the front line, they too move backwards. Similarly, Advancing the ameba into the group is done two ways, Get a leader and a few others to openly move to the enemy, and the others follow suit not wanting to be left behind. Or someone might see one enemy on the edge, run up to him for a quick and safe kill, and others follow suit, resulting in a diagonal shift upward in the ameba.
The enemy notices it and moves back accordingly to not get killed and stay in the battle as long as possible.

With this knowledge of players, you can easily command an event by replacing the leaders with NPCs. Leader players are not that common, and alone, they cant shift an ameba, that's why the ameba only moves when there are other leaders that all move together. Thus, by adding a small group on NPCs and making them move, you can move the player group where you want them to be.

Vent and Skype destroys the ameba, since with organization, a movement of the main group, moves together in unison, each knowing what to do, whereas without vent or Skype, no one knows what the group is doing, so they follow. With vent or Skype, you can say that you replace everyone in the ameba with leader players that know what they should be doing, instead of players that just want to stay alive, not pull/get hit by a hunter or mage AoE. A group of players in unison can all charge at the same time, without the small delay that the ameba has, they cover ground faster then crawling up, and they scare the enemy.

How you can add this to your application is up to you. I cant tell you how to show you know this, other then teach it to you that way to can find your own way to summarize this.

6) If your a vet GM, this is where you want to show off your skills at catching hackers, and all the trophies and heads you looted off the dead hackers. If your a new GM, explain in theory your system that you made up to catch them, and better yet the system of organization you will use, weather it's my system, or your own made up system matters not. have something to say is what counts =P

7)
Point 7 will be something that they will find thought your application. if your neat, organized in your debate, and reasoning, and you show maturity, you get an A+ in point 7. This type of quality is not something you can just say, its something you have to show.

That's is! You now know the 7 point system for getting ahead of the completion. A word of advice however: Make your application long and detailed. the more detailed you are shows how serious you are at being it. If it's one paragraph, you fail.
Also, Keep in mind, you have to READ every rule, and learn them. as well as follow the application guide. The 7 point system can be applied to any type of application rules, with a bit of bending. But know this: even if you make the best application EVER, if you did not follow the application guideline, you FAILED. (notice how it's in red, bold, and underlined. That means EPIC fail.)

So follow the rules if you are to enforce them latter on. How can you police and help people, if you don't know the rules your supposed to enforce?
Good luck on your application!

Once you have clean vendors, Copy each section of the codes under, and Add each of them to a macro. Select your vendor, and click your finnished macro.
This is the level 19 twink macros

I also seperated them into Groups for your conviniance.
(( Also, for the people that WILL copy this and post it somewhere else, can you please give credit where it's due? thanks ^_^

Crazy mate. This is by far one of the best, most detailed guides I have ever seen. You mentioned all details required for being a good GM point by point in a structured order. This could almost be sold as an ebook =).

I have one suggestion tough:
because of the pure mass of content your guide has, try to make a short index, with links to each parts.

Thanks + Rep.
