| WPE Configuration Tutorial All the credit for this goes to Barenor: It seems to me that alot of people are trying to use WPE to hack WoW now and quite of few of them including myself are having trouble with it. WPE doesnt automatically have access to the WoW.exe file because it is run by the system and not by the user logged on. To grant WPE system editing abilities you need to download another program called PermEdit. After downloading that and extracting it open up WPE and Perm Edit. In the Perm Edit window click the WPE PRO.exe and then select the "Grant Permissions". Now you can close out Perm Edit, maximize WPE, and click the "Target Program" drop down menu. Now you should be able to select the WoW.exe. Hope this helps you like it has me.  |

| Hope this helps. Okay, so I've noticed everyone is having a problem targeting wow.exe on WPE pro. I hope this helps. Make sure you do everything I say. 1. Download it 2. Turn off Internet security. (Note if you have McAfee do the following: Open up task manager, go to processes and find McAfee and end process it; do the same with Windows Defender if you have Vista). 3.You do not have to end process AV if you know how to grant permissions. 4.(Note: For Vista Users) Run WPE Pro as an Administrator. 5.Run PERMEDIT as an Administrator (People seem to forget to do this). 6. Run wow.exe as an Administrator. 7. Grant Permission to WPE and to wow.exe 8. Not sure if you have to do this but I logged into my character before attempting to target wow.exe Works for me, and hopefully my short tutorial was simple enough to read, unlike the kids who can't seem to convey their thoughts in a clear message.
