- PVP reward Quest Giver made; if you gather 100 arcane tomes (which means 100 kills, rewards are: Holy Staff, Red Magic Staff, Orb Of Magic, Neon Blade, Magma Main Claw Or Magma Off Claw and also 50k gold, 2 36 slot bags , bottle of pinot noir and jug of bourbon)

-PVP Token System, Arcane tome is the PVP token (both players must be 70 for someone to get the token)

THE BLIZZPACK HAS ALL THOSE FIXES, it's pure blizzlike with nothing custom!

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS MOVED IN THE STUFF FOLDER SO READ IT!

Note:The npcs from Sunwell aren't spawned yet, when NCDB does that i'll update immediately

You can join them to have 2 realms, read a guide on how to do that, i'll make one too soon.

Guide

1.) Download the Repack of your choosing, either Blizzlike or Funserver.

2.) It is in .rar format so you must extract it with winrar, you can find winrar by going to WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files extract the file into your C: driver.

3.) go into the folder you extracted, either C:/Funserver or C:/Blizzlike, then into the folder named "Stuff" then open "SETUP INSTRUCTIONS" it will tell you everything you need to know. There is also a MySQL problem Guide, Vista setup guide, Site Readme, Forum Guide, How to Edit the Site Readme, Addons Readme, and How to Enable Voting your Site.

4.) Very helpful addons, and programs are also in the folder. There's also a list of gm commands, ID's, Worldports, etc.

5.) In the folder Stuff, find the Folder Maps Extractor. Choose enGB or enUS depending on your version of WoW. Highlight both the folder Maps and the program Ad, place them in your WoW folder and run Ad.exe. Once it is done move the maps folder into C:/*serverfolder*/Ascent (*serverfolder* stands for either Blizzlike or Funserver depending on what you chose)

Other: you might need to install net framework, it's in C:/*serverfolder*
Also to configure the DB, use Navicat, it is in C:/*serverfolder* and it only comes with a 30 day trial unless you want to pay for it.

I got my server working pretty well, got 2 irritating problem tho.

I made a few accounts for my friends, but none of them could access TBC content (they do have TBC installed)

when I die in instance, I don't respawn in the graveyard. I just pop out of my dead body on the same spot i die, and I can't respawn til I run out of the instance.

In the main folder, it should be called Blizzserver or Funserver. Open Navicat, when it is installed open it and create a connection, Username: root Pass: ascent
Open the connection and then Fun or Blizz, open accounts, then go and find flags or flag, and set it to 8. That will fix the TBC problems.

I think the respawn thing is supposed to happen, try using a macro with .revive

Followed all instructions but must've made a misstake somewhere, I can log on and everything but no servers appear on the realm list. Any help? Btw using the funserver pack

When you start up the server, start them in this order:

1. MySQL
2. Logonserver
3. Ascent

When you start them up, if you have any problems just post them here.

Hey there!

Im trying to run the same packages that you've got there, but im hitting a snag.

I log in, connect to my server, create a character, but when i click accept, it flicks back to the realm page, minus any characters.

Any ideas?

I had a looksy at the command promp windows and it was telling me it couldnt find certain columns... im guessing i was using the wrong database dump. I'll download it again, and let you know...

Found the solution to my problem, wasn't in the setup instructions but in Ascent-world i had to change

Hey i have made the server and made an account for my friend i can log in and enter realm and all that but when my friend try he is just stuck at server selection screen... the server is there but when he tries to log on it it simple closes and open the server selection screen... please tell me what is wrong if you know.

I had actually D/L'd this off of MMOwned (exact same one) and have a minor issue. I'll repost here what I posted over "there" because I think that thread might be dead... Anyhoo..

I'd like to say that this really is a masterpiece! I followed the instruction to the "T" for the "Blizzlike" and lemmie tell you...

It's as good as gold.

I do have a question though, because there is one little thing that kinda threw me a bit off-kilter.

After logging in and making a whole crew of characters of varying classes and races, I noticed that some (not all) of them started off with some damn fine gear.

Ok, a bit of an explanation, in the "ascent-world.config" I had set the starting lvl to 1 and left max lvl to 70 (no free rides, heh), and in the "setup instructions" I did not execute the slq files from the "stuff folder" because...

1- I didn't want to start at such a high level (plus, my buddies should start with the basics) and...

2- I couldn't find the slq files anyways (Yes, I'm wearing my n00bhat for the 2nd time today).

I was just wondering if this is intentional or if I buggered something up. By the way, it seems that it's only hunters and rogues that have the badass gear.

Is there a way to turn it off or change this so a lvl 1 really is a n00b toon?

ps I ported to gm island and was wondering if there were supposed to be vendors there or not, because I searched the place top to bottom (even the "jail" lol) and found nothing.

ok i followed everything when i dled everything im geting the mysql to work but im having an issue with the apache not working saying it can not open logs? any help with getting this worked out would be much appreciated

Hey Havok can you please help me with a problem i got.. im not very skilled with private servers but i got some experience but the problem is
I can't get Ascent World to work it fails to connect
and i cant get the starting with all spells and t6 gear etc to work.. cant get navicat to work either.. i did once on another program but cant remember how i did.. please help Havoc.

Im using 2.4.3 patch. And i open up the server just fine. I open wow tbc. and i log in. But i get stuck at connected. I click cancel so i can get realmlist..but it just happens again. ANY HELP PLS

Actually the user for this is "root" and password is "ascent" that should work
