arghh.. in mangosd.exe console you must type setbc <account> 2 to enable DKs creation

weirdest thing, setbc 2 works however now when casting any spell or using any ability, they do not consume mana / rage / energy / runic power / runes...

Anyone know what might be causing this?

Ok another question, lol, sorry. Ok, I was checking out some older threads and came across one for .8714 that said to use the .8634 maps is that still possible and if so do you replace the dbc files with the .8634 dcb files or still extract the .8770 and use those?

Apparently not. I'm getting this same Unhandled Map Chunk stuff, even after patching up to 8788 and redownloading the Repack.

Hopefully someone will figure out how to fix this.

ok i figured it out on my own but why does the DB take so long i know it need to make everything but i kept the thing up for almost 12 hours...!

start=>programs=>mysql=>MySQL Command Line Client
1 type password for your mysql and press enter
2 type \u mangos and press enter
3 type \. and path to mangos.sql (\. c:\server\mangos.sql) and press enter
its much more fast than navicat

For those who can't patch, search for "wow 8788 patch" in google. Worked like a charm for me.

I had troubles with a couple of the character tables in the character database throwing errors, and characters can't be deleted from with in the game. To solve, run the characters.sql file against the characters database. No more errors and my charcters behave better now.

For those wondering about not being able to get to death knight, mogrein spilled out the solution very simply: setbbc accountname 2. Without that, no death knight. Thanks for the warning on that.

After setting the expansion pack 2 in the account, be prepared for the following effects:
- cannot get to northrend through the .tele command
- can't train riding past artisan (level 75), so no flying mounts
- transportation system doesn't work at all. nothing going to and from northrend for either faction.
- buffs are infinite length, not 30 min, 10 min, 60 min. Not really a big problem
- a lot fo spells no longer cast at all (mage blink and frostbolt for example). Mainly seem to be related to cast times. If spell isn't instant cast, spell takes infinite time casting

At that point i shut the server off. No point to running around in wow if I can't get to northrend and spells don't work right.

That actually sounds like theres a substancial bit wrong. If the tele list is missing, either your locations file is missing, or theres a tele list with coordinants missing. It also sounds like your server was lagging a bit, which could contribute toward the tele commands, the cast times, buff lengths, and training at mount training npcs...See if you can find a google search to get you the map number, coordinates, etc, and set a location in your locations file and add it in manually, but I dont know much on the specifics of that.

If your server was not lagging, you can set your riding skill to 300, you can either .learn 34091 and that should teach you artisan riding, or at least the spell you can cast on yourself (check the general spells tab), and teach yourself the riding skill. Alternatively, you could .learn all_myclass to learn every single possible thing your class can learn, inclusive of riding skills, weaponskills, and spells, and talent effects.

Transports dont seem to work for much of anyone... ever... Occasionally, I think i've seen working zepplins, but i cant remember if they are or are not... Boats? nope.

every time i try to run mangos.exe i get this error im useing wotlk beta 8788 map and dbc

Some required *.dbc files (2 from 55) not found or not compatible:

well..as stated on the first post you must use maps/dbc from 8770 patch. 8788 isnt working yet

great repack, only prob is that i kept getting an unable to validate version with your database, i found another that just came out but it wasnt as well put together so i used that and put the items and such from your database into it.. so ty for releasing it, love all the items keep it up
