does that database have the latest weapons and items in it? and does it have most of the npcs in northrend? or is it just like most of the databases out there right now with nothing in them?

also, sorry if i should know this already but what exactly does the WotLK mangos patch by Zilver do?

Arrgh i need an account on emupedia for the database! but when i try to create one says it can connect to my hotmail account! Why? has anyone tried out this repack yet? does it actually work?

how do i set up a WotLK server with this? i have no expirience setting up a server that wasnt Reaper-X easy Mangos

i dont have any of the starting deathknight quests, no NPCs for northrend and no way to get there, how do i fix this?
i can make a deathknight, i can level it, i can do some quests
i cant talk to town guards and get directions
i cant complete the deathknight starter quests
i cant find a way to get to northrend

please let me know what i need to do to resolve this

ahh so the database doesnt look like its spawned at all....etherdemon the database is not a spawned one i guess. so there will be no npcs in northrend and nothing there. but to get to northrend just type in game

.tele northrend

and if u dont have GM abilitys type: setgm (your account name) 3 in your mangosd.exe console after it loads up

and if u still cant get to northrend type: setbc (account name) 2 in your mangosd.exe console after it loads up

most of those arnt really problems dude

most of those arnt really problems dude

dont seem to be able to access all my DK abilities, runeforging for example isnt something i can do
also, no buffs are showing, and i have a feeling spellcasting might not work

thanks for the .tele command though, i'll try it out


edit: it didnt work, i can get into dalaran either by the portal in the DK starting area, or by using the tele command, but i cant get anywhere else on the continent with it.. cant fly out either... there is a graveyard in camp winterhoof, but i cant teleport to the area, or anything else... also, explorecheat isnt working

Ok... having a problem with logging in. It's telling me that my account needs to be upgraded to the expansion pack, but when I setup my account I did the setexpansion username 2. Still won't let me in.

you will still need to create a character and set it to level 55 or above (i set mine to 77 just to be sure)
there will be missing items in the repack, i dont know how to fix them yet, i am going to do some more reading on the subject later, it is my hope that the originator of the thread will have some time to support the release however, specifically the missing icons for buffs/spellcasting which are not displayed anywhere

i'm using the Frozen 4, there are areas of ocean missing, no mobs to fight (NPCs at most town locations though) and tons of the text is in german
inscription seems useless right now as i cant find a trainer or the name of the recipe/pattern/plan/whatever used to learn new skills through it
i dont think there are any death knigh glyphs right now anyway...
also, have you been able to complete the DK starting quest line? it's broken for me

try to find almost the same lines like these(probably in index.php):

$char_gender = dechex($char_data[22]);
and
$char_data[53], (its not the same)

replace these lines with my values. np

Hey there

pretty new at all this with private servers etc.

I was following this forum post to setup my own little testing space, until I realised I patched my wotlk beta a bit too much.
so googled my way here and figured I'd just execute the new sql files into the existing databases.

I can log in using administrator / administrator, and I find the MaNGOS server in the realm list, but when I try to connect to it, it tries for a brief moment then redirects me back to the realm list.

Any ideas?

Also when I start the mangos application it stops at a line that says "Class 6 Level 1 does not have health / mana data.",
and I'm unable to type the setbc 1 command.

Bambiii,how far did it patch? 8926 came out last night and as far as I know the newest patch on Zilvers post only goes up to 8905.The version will be at the bottom left on your wow(wotlk) start up screen.

Hi guys,

I was wondering where I find the latest wotlk patch?? (highlighted in bold below)
I see a lot of MaNGOS repacks on the internet, but no where to be found is the origanal source code to these repacks, the reason I want this is simple, So I can compile it under Linux.
I really don't understand why anyone would want/ feel the need to run a server (of any description) under window..?? I have tried running several of these repacks on my windows machine but as allways I have discovered it lags my windoze box down dramatically, Unless I spend ridiculas amounts of money at the windoz box in order to run "A given" server..
When Linux has no problem with this (becuase it does this natively, and it's general purpose is "to serve") Why would I want to bogg down a Games machine to run a server??
so lets face it the only thing windows is good at serving is fail.. (serv's awsome fail!!)

so could you PLEASE give me the location SVN or post the actual patch so I can compile MaNGOSon a REAL server..??
especialy the wotlk_rev17.5 patch

any help would muchly apreicated, and I'm willing to Upload Linux Repacks after compiling
both x86 and x64 versions (this will be for Ubuntu 8.04 version, which most people use anyway)

It mentions NOTHING about Rev 17.5 or gives a location where to download it..

fat lot of good that is.. why post a repack with the latest patch that reffers to a link that DOESN'T have it on it!!??
