start a arcemu-world.exe or it can be hearthstone-world.exe then start a arcemu-logon.exe or hearthstone-logon.exe.

Well, once you get the User Control Panel up, you will have Start MYSQL, Stop MYSQL, start logonserver, start world, and other buttons... but, What you do to start the server is first press Start MYSQL, then world, then logonserver. If you do not know how to start the usercontrolpanel, then look on your desktop, there should be an icon that says Start WoW private server. CLICK THAT!

If you did not create a desktop icon, then you must go into your files and go to where you saved it to. If you do not know where you saved it to, then try reinstalling the repack, and clicking more carefully through the installation process of the repack as to where you saved it, or whether or not you want it on your desktop. And finally, if you do not know where your files are, you probably can not run the server.

If you know how to do everything I just mentioned, and you get the error while trying to start it up, then press ALT+CTRL+DEL, and if you see any JohvedUserControl, mysqld-nt.exe, arcemu-world.exe, or arcemu-logonserver.exe, CLOSE THEM ALL. Then reopen the JohvedUserControl panel, and follow my instructions.

That is pretty much as far as I can "dumb it down" for you. If you still have problems, post, and I will do whatever I can to help.

Ok if you are getting " 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' using password: YES main database initialization failed. "

There is the possability of what Illidan said, or your Config files password do not match your MySQL password pretty simple

I did not go into the config files password as it seemed a little too advanced for him :/

If he followed the guide correctly, he wouldnt have this problem, the configs are set up already for LAN with username and password being Root.
I explained this in the guide.

Yeah I know, but some are not exactly the greatest readers, and will lose their attention span over the course of 10 minutes. Also, like he said, it is his first server, so he would not have the kind of knowledge to help him. Even with this great guide :O

I followed the video exactly, and im an OK reader. I just dont get it. I opened the user control panel and clicked start MySQL and clicked start World and it still came up with it. I pressed CTRL-ALT-DELETE and cliked start task master-processes, and i ended all of the MySQL Usercontrolpanel and the one begging with 'a' down. tried it all again, still the same proble. Tried opening it all in administration mode to see if that helped. still nothing. Ive been trying all the techniques for about 2-3 days now and im getting petty anoyyed. I just want to get my server up and running. If theres anything else you recomend to do, please tell me. BTW ive tried reinstaling everthing and done the video 3-4 times. I trie your guide but when i made the connection on SQLYOG and refreshed it 2-3 times in the space of 20 minutes no 'World' came up. Thanks for your help so far.

My laptop is dodgy as it sometimes doesnt add the correct keys. So if ive spelt anywords with missing letters, i Apologise.

Yeah, ignore the 'world' thing.. Didn't work for me either until i actually got my server up.

It seems like the only thing left is to make sure that you do have the same user and pass for mysql and the sqlyog.
Other than that, make sure you have microsoft .net framework, and that you have copied ad.exe into your world of warcraft folder from your repack TOOLS folder, then you run it, and wait till it is done. Then it should have created a 'maps' folder. Copy that folder into the repack.
