Delete all files which have in their name "patch.mpq" and then start repair.exe. This should downdate your wow to version 2.0.0. Then just apply needed patches and your done.

I have met up with this problem and my only advice is,check to see if your firewall is blocking it,Router (if you have one),Norton Security,or Macfee. If it isn't being blocked then the ony solution is to reinstall WoW

It should be enough to delete the "patch.mpq". Thats what I did atleast. (From the newest to 2.0.0)

Maybe you are right. I said all of the patch.mpq files, because I wasn't sure which one should be deleted. :-\

Reinstall WoW? I guess you eigher got the CD's or ISO files. It shouldnt take that long to uninstall. Just install original WoW, then Expansion without any patches. Then update to the version you want, using manual patches.
