make sure you make a SHORTCUT and set its target as the WoWClient.exe, it MUST, and will only work if the end of the target link will be
\WoWClient.exe" -uptodate
mine's for example

"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\lol\alpha\WoW\WoWClient.exe" -uptodate

the only prob is then i try to login in the game or change server it says " Unable to connect to realmlist server " pretty much

If you still have problems with the -uptodate thing, do not waste your time just delete the:

WoWClient.exe"

In the end of the target link and replace it with:

WoWClient.exe" –uptodate

(Select the whole line, because if you miss something or try to write it yourself you might get bugs).

Be sure you do not rename the actual WoWClient.exe

-uptodate is just a way of windows telling additional details to the program it launches.

Here is my link:

Look closely at the end of the link its:

WoWClient.exe
"
*1 space*
-uptodate

Simple isn’t it?



Now about that "Unable to connect to realmlist" or what ever it was.

Then you start the WoWClient.exe shortcut and then the game launches etc. you push:

(Just like in Counter Strike etc., to open up the console window).

Now write:

set realmlist localhost

Push Enter,

Now push login and your done.



However, you might search for a better emulator with stuff like scarlet monastery etc. you can find it on:

wowps.org

Just search for:

Wow alpha

2: i cant start WoWClient.exe, it says i have to launch it by updater

i changed the target (that -uptodate stuff), what can i do? is there a problem cuz my windows is german? : /

You have to make the wow login and user name file .ses make sure its wow.ses and not wow.ses.txt i had the same problem if it still shows up as a .ses.txt file then you have to open it go to file save as... then go to the save as type click the down arrow and choose all files then name it wow.ses then it should work....

ok so now i have a problem though when i try to open it up it says

Thats because you have to make it just make a notepad file and name it wow.ses and put the user name on the first line and the password on the second line For example

Admin
Admin

Then save as wow.ses and if it doesnt change the file type because it might not then go to Folder Options Then go to the tab View then find "Hide extensions for known file types" that should be checked if it is uncheck it then go back to where you saved your wow.ses and it should say wow.ses.txt delete the txt part and then it should be an ses file.

it says 1 rar missing! from the 1st part rar5 is missing.

i re downloaded it but still same prob.

why does it say that the exctract should be started from prevoius volume while i am starting from volume 00

FOR GOD SAKE i SKIPPED THE 1st problem now i got another problem.

the emu is not working, the wowclient says this app must be run by updater.


any help?
