| WoW letter scam This is pretty much the exact same thing as Xepher's original post but a few things to make it so that it works for US realms... AND HOW TO FIND VICTIMS EASILY... The Email Addy: Follow the exact same instructions as Xepher's except for the name on the email address, put US instead of EU. How to find people: (this works for EU as well) -Go to markeedragon.com -click search on the top(ish) -find the forum that you want to be searching in the list (either WoW account buy/sell EU or US or WoW account trading EU or US) and search for "email" -this will come up with a load of threads with "email" in it. -More likely than not these are in the original post, with contact information in it, to contact the owner of the account -Now that you have your email address for your victim, now its time for the letter THE LETTER: (just changed the bottom part, got rid of the EU info and put in the US info) Greetings! It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell/trade your personal World of Warcraft account. As you may or may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of Agreement. If this proves to be true, your account can and will be disabled. It will be ongoing for further investigation by Blizzard employee's. Blizzard might consider taking legal actions against your crime, if it seems too be of an extreme nature. If you wish to not get your account suspended you should immediately verify your account. This action is taken because we at Blizzard Entertainment takes these sales quite serious. We need to confirm you are the original owner of the account. This is easiest done by confirming your personal information along with concealed information about your account. You can confirm that you are the original owner of the account by replying to this email with: Use the following template below to verfiy your account and information via email. * First and Surname * Address * Zip code * Phone number Daytime * Country * Account e-mail * CD-key, alternative a photograph of your CD-key that is located on your manual for World of Warcraft. * Account name * Account password * Secret Question and Answer If you ignore this mail your account can and will be closed permanently. We ask you to NOT change password until the investigation is fully completed. Blizzard Entertainment Account Administration Team P.O. | how do you get their account names? i dont really understnad that part but im really excited to get some 1k worth accounts !! like do i go to buy wow high lvl wow accounts? cuz i cant find no one's name there Also if u EMAIL them, like using @hotmail.com or @gmail.com isnt that like super obvious? and for the account info they only have ICQ number, no hotmail, gmail or yahoo Last edited by StL33T; 07-19-2007 at 01:45 AM. |

| k say you actually have a hold of someone's account. so wat now? if u change their password they can just g do the secret quetsion thingy, and if you try to change the account contact info crap, you need thier email and email's pw. so wouldnt it only work for thier items and gold and not hier account? |

| Lol only noob or dumb ppl would fall for it, thought its pretty creditable for the scam. Nice job, some people when they nervous they won't notice the mistake or the mailing address. I forgot to mention to becareful of trojan and virus lol, some people might be angry and sent you bad stuff |

| Sent to 10 people, gunna see what happens.. One guy sent a reply saying ' blah blah blah im contacting ur URL saying you tried to scam, im getting your home address/telephone numbers and sharing it publicly!!!' .. isint that kind of illegal  , and slightly impossible? |
