How to fix cracked discs!

Ok, my MW2 game disc was cracked pretty bad, and it wouldn't read at all. So, what I did was:

LONG EXPLANATION
I took some VERY clear scotch tape (This stuff: Scotch Tape!) and taped the top of the disc along the crack. Don't take the disc on the side that goes down! You tape the side that has the graphic on it. Then I pressed the tape down with gentle force, and popped it into my Xbox 360. It then read! If you do this, I would recommend installing it to your hard drive afterwords just in case. Here's a short guide for people who don't want to read all of this.



SHORT EXPLANATION
1) Get some clear scotch tape
2) Tape the cracked part of the disc on the 'upside' (Where the graphic is)
3) Press the tape down with gentle force
4) Put the disc in the console
5) Install to hard drive or play the game!

THIS CAN WORK ON PS3 AND XBOX 360! NOT SURE ABOUT WII.

But I mean like i the disc literally is split all the way through. I added a pic so there isn't confusion.

wow never thought tape would hold up when its spinning, that almost incredible.

when my games get scratched up, not broken in two, i just put them in the toilet and flush em, they dont go down =), and the slight abrasiveness of the water evens out the film on the dvd.

i use the same concept, but with modeling glue to insure hold. it also looks prettier heh

Ok, i have now tried both methods. and heres the outcome:
The first method i tried was super glue that i use for my miniatures(Big lulz i know)
This method works very well for me on a total of 3 disks.
steps:
1. Obtain proper glue for the job(I use Zap A Gap CA+ GREEN! you can obtain this glue from your local hobbytown usa or hobby lobby
2. Get your cracked disk and pull apart the crack just enough to put a tiny bit of glue on the edge.
3. Immediately get a papertowel and wipe the excess glue from the crack as you put it back together.
4. Let dry... let your disk dry for more time than you think it needs!! this is very important because if you put it in too early it will probably FUCK UP YOUR SHIT
5. Test this bad boy... and alas! all your hard work might have paid off!


The second method is the tape (Ghetto method)

i do not particularly care for this method as it can be messy or fail easily.

Which do i like better??
- well if i havent made it obvious enough i like the super glue.
it is more trustier(lol) and wont fuck up as easiest(lol again)
