What you can do if you get RROD is to screw open your xbox(thus loosing your Warranty), and on the bottom of the motherboard, there is 4 "thermal isolators" or whatever you can call themThey are tapes
Remove them, get the glue that is left away, and take electrical tape and 8 pennies and thermal paste
Take two pennies and take electrical tape on them, one wrap around from each side, and make sure there is no open holes. Then apply a LITTLE thermal paste on each of the chips, and then apply your new "thermal isolators". Then do the towel trick in addition, then it should work.
