Rep Power: 7 | | | Left 4 Dead [Review and FAQ] The game Left 4 Dead is a very popular game for the xBox 360 and the PC. The game is great, and it is newly released with cool content and some great features. It is steam powered, meaning it was produced by the same people who created Counter Strike, Portal, and the Half Life series. It is named Left 4 Dead because you are in a group with 4 survivors in a world of infections disease, turning everybody into zombie-like creatures who would like nothing more than to rip you and your friends to shreds.
Left 4 Dead has really great graphics, and runs really smoothly on the xbox 360 with virtually no lag and no problems with the content. The game play is great, the aiming is fun, and its a real good game for those looking for a good scare late at night. The game involves a few different levels of skill, ranging from easy to very hard. The easiest level provides really no way of losing, no FF, few zombies, and small hordes. The hardest level has tons of zombies (not even in hordes!), FF is on so you need to be careful where you shoot. The hordes on this mode are huge, and can be a lot to handle on your own. The other levels are somewhere in between this. Also, the multiplayer capacities of this game range from splitscreen, to online, to online campaigns. This game has also got to be one of the easiest games for achievements since Fable 2.
Some negative aspects of the game are how easy it is. It takes really no skill with playing FPS games to get the hang of it. Another strange thing is that zombies, while online, can see your outline through walls and doors. This makes it very hard to survive. Also, online does not allow FFA but just campaign, so if you want to camp a room and wait for zombies, too bad. Now, for some FAQs.
Q. How long is the campaign mode?
A. There are 4 modes altogether, probably taking around 2 days to complete them all.
Q. You speak of horde. What is this?
A. A horde is a large mass of zombies who come after you based on when some certain event occurs, like setting off a car alarm, for example.
Q. I want to play a zombie, but campaign doesn't allow it. How?!
A. Online modes allow turn-taking between players wanting to play as both humans and zombies.
Q. What is the diesease infecting the zombies?
A. It hasn't been fully revealed yet but I suspect a mutated form of rabies.
Q. Are there any "special" zombies?
A. Yes. Hunters, who pounce and eat yer brains, Smokers, who constrict at the neck, boomers, who puke horde-gathering puke at you, and tanks, which are virtually indestructible and deal massive damage.
Q. Who are the characters I can play?
A. A college female student, a male IT worker, an old war veteran, and a bloodthirsty anarchy seeking man.
Note: As said previously, this game is available for both xBox 360 AND on the computer through steam. My overall rating of this game: 9.8

The game looks nice, but a friend of mine says that it's just the same thing over and over again, killing zombies and running.. But the graphics and gameplay looks really nice ^^ |
