Battlefield: Bad Company [Review and FAQ]

Battlefield: Bad Company

This installment in the Battlefield series, is a good one, to say the least. This game has pretty much everything a good game needs. It has a good and complete story line of a war with an unknown country or entity, it was killer graphics, easy to learn controls, fun gameplay, and an alright multiplayer. Some of the cons to the game, though, are that it is so hard it is near impossible to complete. At least I thought so. Some other cons, is that multiplayer is very laggy and there are sometimes long waits to get into a game due to the smaller amount of people who play this game.

As the game starts out in story mode, you are a new recruit in the war with Bad Company. Everyone else in your "platoon" has been there before, and was there before you. They do the cliche thing where the in-game NPC's test you out, but the game itself is really teaching you controls. Throughout the game there are numerous amounts of missions, and quests, but the game his it all decided out when you are going to do what. It is not a roaming, go-get-quests-from-random-people game, it is similar to Gears of War or Call of Duty in its story line.

Most of the terrain is destructable, except that once a building gets each wall destroyed, and the roof, etc. The house itself does not come crashing down to the ground. It does not exactly make sense, as shooting a rocket launcher into the inside of a house does not destroy every wall, it might even destroy nothing! All in all, I award this game 7.5 points out of 10.

FAQ

Question: I CANT beat this level. What should I do?
Answer: Either keep trying, or stop playing for a little bit to cool yourself down. You might also want to try the game on an easier difficulty level.

Question: Do I only get to run around in this game, or are there vehicles I can command to my liking?
Answer: Through the game, you get to ride / drive tanks, and also call air strikes. Sadly you cannot fly in a plane in an air strike, though.

Question: This building won't be destroyed, not even a wall. What is going on?
Answer: Go get some heavier weapon than a sub-machinegun then we'll talk.

Question: I don't really get the point of the online gameplay. What do I do?
Answer: The point of the online mode is to stop the other team from getting your gold stash. Until you learn the rops, just keep killing enemies.

yeah it's fun, I still play it. The new one looks 100 times better though. Only thing though is it's not that hard to complete. Also your first screenshot looks horrible lol

Can't wait for the new one to come out, such a shame they pushed the release to next year though, sniping is great fun.
